I’ve been officially living stateside again for nearly five months and although I have started restablishing my roots in Richmond, I already have the itch to travel…again.
Of course, there are still more parts of the world I want to see — Africa, Asia and more of Europe, too. But traveling Australia and New Zealand made me realize something. Before I rush off to another continent immediately, there is so much of the United States that I have yet to explore. In fact many of the travelers I met on my adventures had seen more of the United States than I have and that makes me sad.
I’ve lived in the states my entire life and so far I’ve only traveled up and down the East Coast, visited California (San Francisco and Los Angeles) and stopped by a few midwestern and southern states.
It’s about time I change that. I am already in the process of replenishing my travel funds and starting to figure out a game plan, which includes deciding which states are must-sees (in case I can’t visit them all).
As of now, these are the next places on my traveling bucket list (in no particular order):
- San Diego, CA
- Austin, TX
But this list is going to continue to grow and I’m fully open to suggestions on places to add. So, what other states or cities are on your U.S.A. travel bucket list?
